The DB 10 varroa-resistant hive floorboard is made of pine. Any loose knots have been repaired or replaced with healthy wood, and the wood surface is treated and ready for painting.

The varroa-resistant wire used in the DB 10 floorboard is made of aluminum and additionally zinc-coated, providing extra strength.

The drawer of the varroa-resistant floorboard can be made of:

• Masonite or plexiglass
• Zinc-coated sheet metal, which represents a higher-quality and more durable option
